Its mothers day, but I got the present!!...................

Bottomfeeder

Been raining and cloudy and cold here for a week. I've been grumbling about my bad luck slashing my finger on the first morning of hunting down at SOBE three weeks ago.
So, I said for the 84th time, "I NEED to be down in Florida'
My life partner and best friend of 33 years said, "Are you STILL here"??
So, I told her I can't just pick up and go, how helpless she would be without me, etc, etc.....
So....... I'm going back down!!!!!!!
This time I'm taping my coil wire on, damn chicken ties is what gave me the cut finger, requiring doctors care, killing my last hunt.
A pox on chicken ties. (chicken pox??)
Anyhow, tomorrow morning I'll be on my way, should arrive in south florida on wednesday. Then at LEAST two weeks of HARD beach hunting.
I'm packing the car right now.
I'm going to seriously try my underwater camera this time, maybe be able to show off some of the neat finds, and what a REAL beach looks like, from underneath.
Gee, I hope none of those young topless dollies wander into my view finder!! That would be TERRIBLE!!;)
So, guys, please don't hate me cuz I can just pack up and go. I worked in a gray iron foundry for more years than I care to think about to get to do this, and I want to build some memeories for when I get too old to have this kind of fun anymore.!

That's great man...have a blast. And take LOTS of pictures. And get gold! :super:

What a wonderful understanding wife you have Bottomfeeder. The only way she could git any better is if she went detecting with you. I don't know though, maybe after 33 years ya'll need to get away from each other. Evidently this detecting is good for longevity, because our local guy who hunts every day is in his 80s and I've heard he's got quite a collection.
