I've pretty much been water hunting all summer with my PI,and if i do land hunt its at the beach at night with the 705.... with hurricane Isaac stirring up the water and beach for the next couple days,i thought to take advantage of the overcast sky and breeze....My X30 that served me well for 5 years has been hanging on the wall for the past 9 months,so i put some battery's in it and went up to the park.Hunted for a couple hours and found 2.29 in change, small lock, nice copper cross, and a Sterling ring that is an exact match to one the X30 found for me 6 years ago.The ring that i found 6 years ago was the 2ND ring i ever found with the X30...and the ring i found today won't be its last! I found the same style ring around a house built in the early 1800's. I was able to look it up on google chrome under images, it's worth $200...good find man!

Holly-Molley....You would think Tiffany would have to be written on them.Might do some research myself!

Boboz, the one I found has the 'sterling' font like the one in first picture on the left. Yes do some research. I've been looking again and can't find it...let me know what you come up with. Because of the location I found it and the depth (6") I'm guessing antique.

whell I tell you what may have happened, the person who lost the 1st one got a second ring and because of the disghine of the ring he lost it again , no doubt you will find a therd 3rd ring just like it

Well, how about $299....This is one ring you want to authenticate before you melt it down for scrap...It was a common design wedding band in the 1900's...their are reproductions that have the design, but also a makers mark, saw a few on the on line stores....Might have these checked out..the first one i got around a lake, and the one yesterday from a park...both original land marks in the area....

Ain't that sweet. Way to bird dog, boboz.

That's the one hatpin. Must have been a popular design.

I talked to my jeweler yesterday, who put me in touch with an estate jewelry dealer. She did say they were a common wedding band in the 1900's and although they are in reproduction most of the new ones do say 925 or Sterling in the larger lettering with some sort of makers mark or brand...The 2 i have pictured are old with the one with smaller lettering being the oldest....it is also thicker, smaller, and weighs one gram more than the bigger, but thinner one..as for $299 ....That's retail, but still as an antique its what someone is willing to pay..
