You can see some of the cuts in the jumps etc and still one section of the river running thru it. By tomorrow we will have that blocked off. We will pump out all the holes with water in them and let if dry in the sun for the weekend. Mon, Tue and Wed we will repair it.
We have 2 dozers, 2 loaders, 2 tri-axles and a lot of guys will to get dirty. We need it done by next week end for our 2 races.

We got a lot of calls asking if we were running. Oh yeah, thats the only way we make any money is that track. Lot of people depend on it and we like playing there like a bunch of kids......

Here are few shots just before dusk..

You can see where the river cut in.
Running thru the track and how it spread out.
Didn't find any fish yet in any of the holes....

trophys in every event. If a full class 40 on the start line we give out trophys up to 10th place. If smaller only to 3rd place. As many have a million them they prefer to take a Free Pit Pass for their mechanic, or free Entrance pass, or T-shirt. Our August race is hot so me make it a purse race for $1000 bucks or more depending on how many pass thru the gate. Other years we do Plaques...Depends on what we get offered for deals on this stuff. Its all gone up in price and affects what we can donate at the end of the year. We are a non profit group, nothing goes to club members other than cost to do a project.

Here is a shot of some of the fall trophys and fleese shirts...Thats a either or choice again....

us over the years. Seems like the river, bounces off the far wall and chews thru the banks there. We are looking at some used Jersey Barriers like you see on the roads. If we en-bed about 4 of them along there it might prevent a lot of it. Also looking at some big rip rap stone at the bottom of it.... This has happened 3 times over the last 42 years. We are very limited as to what we can put even near the water as its classified as Class A trout waters here. Just down stream but off to the side on a feeder stream in the Quinbaug Trout Hatchery.... Here is a link to it... Trout Hatchery

AS much work as it is, with the 3 construction outfits in our club, they let us use a lot of their equipment on weekends. There kids and they all race there and we are the only licensed motocross track in the state that can race. The others are practice tracks.....

If you were nearby, I'd lend a hand. Been running the D7 dozers and 988 and 966 loaders for years now. Is your track more sand than mud ? That slush could bog up the equipment in a hurry.
