Howdy all...
It went all the way down below 30 degrees last night here... How are you guys above the Mason-Dixon doing?

unusually dry and warm, northwest of the M/D line. A dry winter means a dry, fire-prone summer here in Oregon. Glad I'm not digging out from all the snow that you all from back east have been doing lately, but I wouldnt mind just a little of the white stuff.

I am NW of the San Antonio area and our temperatures sound the same as yours. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas)

ALABAMA....
I live in a little town all the way down on the coast called Magnolia Springs. Actually we are not a town. We are just a place. That is how I was successful at declaring myself "The Mayor" If you look at a map of Alabama..look all the way to the South. Find Mobile Bay..on the right hand side of Mobile Bay..you will see Weeks Bay. Running into Weeks Bay you will see Fish River and Magnolia River. I live on Magnolia River about a mile from where it runs into Weeks Bay. It is a wonderful little community..we get out mail by boat. Last place in the United States where mail is delivered by water. Average age in our neighbor hood used to be about eighty..and that was including myself, LeeAnn and our three kids. Recently a lot of new young families have been moving in so it may have dropped back to seventy.
I spent some time in San Antonio. Went to the Alamo. the big suprise for me was that it was right downtown as far as I could figure. Loved the area...
See ya' "my brother from another mother"...

RS..
When it snows here they literally close the highways. We see snow about every ten years or so. Two inches of snow will shut everything down here for sure.
Please tell me how someone rents a squid? I have been pondering that for a while. Inquiring minds want to know!! I have fished with a squid. I have ate a squid..but never rented a squid...

You got that right! I live in Amory MS, 70 miles south of the Tennessee line, 20 west of the Alabama line, and according to the local TV weatherman the wind chill didn't get any higher than 17 degrees yesterday. Too cold for old codgers to get out in, at least this old codger.

We had a low of 8 degrees and a high of 25 but I'm not complaining.

and then who would we have to argue with . Rentasquid was a phony business that I started as a joke. For exactly the reasons you mentioned in your reply. Why would anyone want to rent-a-squid...because?!?
