It's been a strange year!

Last summer with an old White's 5000D only found 4 silver (3 mercs and a barber) and the usual assortment of wheats, but no dollar coins and very few nickels. This year with a new X-T 70 have found close to a half doz. wheats just from the 20's and 30's alone, but NO silver yet. Although at the same time have found (7) of the modern day dollar coins so far this year and 16 nickels just in the past week alone. Like I said, it has been a strange year!

that is how my year started off, but it seems lately I have started finding a little bit of silver everywhere. But a lot of them were deep iffy signals that others passed up. I have dug as least 3 silver quarters that signals off a solid 46 which on my x-70 is normally a rusty bottle cap. But I started hunting by tone (multi tone) and listening more to sounds instead of watching the screen, and it has really paid off.

I also slowed my swing way down, and now hunt SLOW, amazing the stuff I was walking right over on sites I have been to before. Last year whole season I had 12 silvers, this year already I have 34 silvers.

Terry sounds like that slow E Trac dance to me except with the X 70...........

I have not foun as much silver this year of any kind? I dunno I just keep doing and hunting. I may have to slow my swing speed down also, Beale.
