Most of the lighters that I find are smashed beyond anyone starting a fire. Do you also find a lot of just the little striker wheel? I seem to find one almost every time I go diggin.

If you have a zippo lighter or know someone who does you can dismantle them and use the flint for your zippo, it lasts longer and is obviously free lol

I took the flint out of one once just out of curiosity and found that the flint is quite a bit smaller than the old 'zippo' style and they jam the striker wheel when you try to light it. Didn't worry about it since I didnt' plan to use it anyhow/
