Its Almost That Time

Its almost time to hunt. Get your batteries charged. Most of the frost should be out of the ground by next weekend.:twodetecting:

I sure hope you're right! I'm ready to get out and play in the dirt. :twodetecting:

Went out today after getting my etrac. 2 inches of soup, 2 inches of ice, then regular dirt... with a decent shovel it's ok to dig in. Found 50 cents... 849.50 left to go to pay off the etrac lol

I haven't been out yet but I did stick a shovel in the ground and it seems to be thawed where the sun has been shining......:clapping: Like Brian said, pretty soupy ground but that hasn't stopped me yet.

BTW, welcome to the PATH forum Brian (illinoismic)....

Still a bit too frozen for me. That was money well earned. I'll wait a little longer. HH, Nancy

We will have to get together for a hunt this summer Brian. Nancy and I get to Monmouth a couple of times a year, we like camping at Citizens Lake.

Ya sure thing. I don't know the area or places to hunt up there but would love to. My brother just moved to Texas from there and he was really the only person I hunted with. The company would be a nice change of pace

I've been monitoring this chatter regarding the dirt conditions in your area....we are still snow covered here, but I want to make a run and get some dirty clad someplace!

Whats central Indiana dirt conditions? North of Indy....Is it stabbable with a screwdriver yet? I can be there in 4hrs..thank you for any input...:please:.
Mud

In west central illinois it's looking doable. I went out for four hours with my new etrac.. took some effort but could still dig 8 inches in
