It's almost like coming home...

I took a little hiatus from using a White's machine to try another detector. I must say that the Se Pro is a great machine, and it found some deep stuff, but I could not speak it's language... I recently traded it for a Vx3, and although I would prefer the V3i, I'm very happy with this machine. Right out of the shipping box (today) I was able to comfortably run it with an RX gain of 10, and the disc. sens. at 80 with very little falsing. My front yard is quite trashy, being the location of a rural gas station in the 40's, so I dropped the recovery delay to 60 and ventured out with my 950 coil since my 4x6 shooter hasn't made it to me yet. I was surprised to pull a half a dozen coins and a rotted jack knife at about 8" from the same area that I've hit hard with other detectors. It will be interesting to see what the 4x6 sniffs out. I'm a bit lazy with pics tonight, no silver anyways... Being accustomed to the XLT this was an easy transition for me. I like the fact that not only can you tell the coin denominations by screen and tones, but also being able to separate the junk by switching to pinpoint and reading the freq.... I'll be hitting an old church tomorrow to try for the really old stuff...

You are doing well indeed.

Welcome back

Thanks guys. I just finished adjusting a couple of programs for tomorrow's hunt. This bugger is pretty simple to operate. Hat's off to the White's team for a nice design. I guess I should go read the manual...:lmfao:
