It's above freezing, so I went MD'ing.

I ran the F-70 hot at sen. 90, thres. 9 for two hours and it was quiet. The ground was 78 with no dirt bar. Maybe mine is broke. Hey Fisher, I want one of those noisy ones. Well the second place I MD'ed, I had to run it sen. 50, thres. -3 with ground 85 and one dirt bar. The location does make a big difference.

I wanted to check out this park where the old fairgrounds use to be. I don't think it has been MD'ed much it is in a very bad neighborhood. Since it was 45 deg. F. and raining there were only two locals in the soccer field.

I was looking for some old stuff, but all I found was modern coins and ammo. So I went to the old standby after 2hours of MD'ing to try to find some older stuff. I have been MD'ing a bunch of houses to be demolished. My first find was this. Still not old enough.

Well this is better, an old c.c.c. pin.

Than I found this token. I don't know what company this one was from. The next two pictures are the front and back.

Total:Two wheat's and lots of shells from the park of course. The live one says 380 auto. The long 22 looking shell has a "c" on the end. No idea about that one. The plain nickel looking thing is probably a plug from an electrical box.

90 and 9?! Those are some high numbers. Even with my new and improved F70, I don

I know you ARE the ammo expert among a few other things. So if anyone wants to know anything about ammo, just ask Dave. There, did I put you on the spot. Probably not.
I love having you around to pick your brain. Some day I'm going to look you up and we will do some MD'ing together.

As far as the sensitivity issue, when I came back to the old demo-ed houses, I was forced to set the sensitivity lower than normal. If I'm in a field I can go wide open. I did that when I followed a gas line for that farmer. It picked it up over 2 ft. down easily in autotune and detected cow patties also. I thought that was so funny.

The F-70 has proven itself to me. What I need to do is be able to understand what it is telling me better. It is so quick, It takes my mind a while to process what it is telling me. I have changed my swing speed and I am swinging it a lot slower. I am digging most everything till I get better at guessing what the target is more accurately. Till I get better at guessing the target, I will analyze everything I am doing in response to what the detector is telling me. I could make it easier on myself by MD'ing less trashy sites.

I heard on the news, that guy, that is to be the president is proposing a program like the C.C.C. " Happy days are here again ."
