.... does anyone have an extra Lesche sheath that they would like to part with ? Or maybe a sturdier alternative ?

Yours in Liberty ..

Make one, make it out of leather, and use plastic of an old milk jug to line it with, You can get copper rivets at the local Ace or true Value. Grubstake

I got one Dave--spankin new.----It's the black cordura one for the red handled Lesche knife (I forget the knifes model #).-----P.M. me your addy if you want it & it's yours for free.---I can get it right out to you tomorrow morning.---------------Del

Thanks Del .. that would be the one .. PM sent !! :detecting:

Thanks Grubstake ... I also remember seeing one that was made from PVC pipe. I have a photo of it saved somewhere .. may be a good winter project.

Thats nice of you Del....you get your wings this week!

Del, that is one of the nicest things that anyone could do for a forum member whom they do not know. Yep, you get your wings, as James mentioned above, and I am sure that Hershey is right that you have KARMA coming your way, as well.

GRUBSTAKE... THANK YOU... I, too, am have a digger without a sheath, and your idea sounds great. Would only that I be a crafts person and could make it. I had trouble in the Boy Scouts making those lanyards woven out of plastic strips. :) Good idea, though, and as soon as I get this barn built, I will give that a try during the winter.

Yep, it works great, I made one a couple of years ago, out of leather and milk jug plastic, and its still working for me. Grubstake

Buzz Wilson makes a custom sheath - the best part about it is that it has the holder for your probe across the front.
The leather is high end and thick and it takes a beating. here is a picture of one of them - he can customize it to have it as you want it.

Very nice gesture above.

Sheath -consider the Kellyco sheath they use for their Gator digger. It's a decent sheath for $5. I keep my tool sharp so I wrapped mine with some black duct tape when I cut the top threads by putting it in at an angle. Works good and has a platic insert. Digger tool is pretty nice too--got it when they had a scratch & dent sale though.

Thanks .. And I will be giving away another item here very soon. Keep the good vibes going I say !

Did you get the Lesche sheath I sent Dave?---USPS tracking records show it as being delivered on 8/15.---Just wanted to make sure you received it ok.--------Del

Del ... more often than not it takes an extra day to receive anything mailed this far north. It was in my PO box today ... thank you very much !

Nestor,
If you are located in the 48 contiguous states, I'd be glad to mail you my Lesche sheath. I hang my digger on my wheelchair, so my Lesche sheath is brand new, never been used.
