It's a disease....I don't believe I can ever find enough

My last 4 hunts minus all the junk. The barber quarter was an extreme shock as this place has been blasted off the map with detectors.
It was the only coin I found after not finding anything for 2 1/2 hours. How long will you hunt without finding any coins ?
Funny thing: I was originally going to hunt a (new to me) school that was built in the early 1960's but there were little children playing there. Had they not been there, I would of missed this Barber Quarter.
As John "Hannibal" Smith would say, "I love it when a plan comes together":ROFLMAO:

Spent nearly 4 hours hitting a park behind a 1950s elementary school. I walked out with $4.75 and a nice 925 ring, its fun when you’re dropping down every 5-10 feet........ glad you stuck with it!

Thanks Ronstar! After finding a whole bag of nothing for 2 1/2 hours, I was on my way back to my vehicle when I found the Barber. That kept me going for another half hour but I didn’t find anything else.

I was on the way back to my vehicle when that ring slammed the headphones. I’m seeing a pattern here....... hopefully jkline will post his find today soon, I missed it by 12-18” from where I started.

Ouch 🤕 that hurts 🤣
So close....yet so far
Yep, the pattern is simple: head back towards our vehicles 🤣🤣

Your persistent paid off for you Jim.
That is a nice find!
I think you should rest tomorrow...🤭
Thanks Felix! I can’t rest....I need another fix 🤣🤣

I have hunted all day (8 + hours) many times, without finding any old coins, only clad. Total frustration has been the demise of many would be treasure hunters. No matter what kind of day I've had,I always try to enjoy the outdoors and also the health benefits. You're having quite a few good hunts. Nice finds.

Good plan!
Congratulations

so nice, and the king of dimes

I have spent many 5 hr hunts in cold Gulf waters and came away with nothing else but a smile, a few pull/push tabs and, on a better day, a few coins. Hours pass by quickly and I have to move my detector next to my metal sand scoop periodically to make sure the detector is still working since it is so darn quiet. But ya never know...

Noice finds Jim

It's about quality not quantity for me, like miserman I've hunted many a eight hour days without finding any coins at all, especially silver.
If I'm getting some of those deep faint signals that's enough inspiration for me to keep going, don't get me wrong when I find some silver that's the trill of the hunt.
Those mid day breaks with some Arnold Palmer ice tea is great also.

Well that’s a disease I wouldn’t mind catching lol... I’ve hunted my old faithful field many times without finding a coin and I’ve gone back many times..sooner or later the old coin ferry feels sorry for me and leaves a goodie... sometimes it’s just a matter of believing there is something left worth finding and sooner later it comes up.. sure has been a lot of those SLQs showing up lately...nice finds....
