It's +/- $279 for the 12 inch upgrade on the BHID....... Yall's thoughts??

I've got $50 from the ring I found. If I get a really good price on the braclet I should have enough!!(it may take a few more items) It just makes me cringe to spend +279.00 on a GIANT coil that once it's on I can't take off.(without sending it in again) Also what do I do with the 9.5 ?? a paperweight, a wall decoration?? It's too bad you can't sell it to someone? I like to wetsand hunt on the gulf and am not a hip-mount guy just don't like it. Just worried it's gonna wear me out and I'll be unhappy with it. Any opnions, options or thoughts welcome.

Would be better off selling your current machine and buying a BHID 300 (new with warranty). Otherwise, stay with what you have. If you've found enough loot to finance a coil change out then it seems to me that the machine is working for ya. Kinda like if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I agree. Seems like you are doing fine with the 9.5. The only thing you have ( and I think ALL of us have from time to time) is the second thought process of should I and will I find more.

I have a Super 12 for my DFX, and it's a great coil, but it is big. Makes the machine heavy, and I think the 9.5 on the DFX balances a heck of a lot better.

I do have a BHID 300 in my sights as one of my next detectors though. It may be sooner than later. If I get diven nuts with my PI when I am on vacation, then that will go up for sale, and the BHID 300 will be coming.

I just like the idea of getting the deeper NON-iron stuff!! Had a PI dug my butt off with it. Too much work for little return at our nail/bobbypin farm beaches. Hell I get excited about finding qtrs in the wetsand at our beaches. I may do it, but I'll stick with the 9.5 for awhile yet.

IT IS THE DEEPEST SET UP OUT THERE OTHER THAN SOME PI'S.....I HAVE GOT 10 PIECES OF GOLD 30 SILVER ITEMS OUT OF A LITTLE BEACH I HUNTED OUT WITH THE 9.5....AND MANY EXCALS 1000/800 HAVE HAMMERED!!!!!!!! BEACH HUNTER ID SUPER 12/300 IS THE GREATEST WATER,WET SAND,DRY SAND,SALT SURF,SHALLOW DIVING....SET UP OUT THERE NOW!!

From what I been told by whites not only the coil was changed but, it has also been updated on the electronics .You will not lose on this machine it will have you digging to china, I get soo embarrass when I dig holes almost 2 ft I'm getting things deeper than the mine lab people, they cant read the signals I get.
The goodies are excellent
I am very impressed with this machine I met someone with your machine and he was complaining on the falsing I know I had that too when I had the old style

Cause I've got the sens jacked up to "11" if it turn it down the machine is smooth as silk but loses the extra depth that the gain brings. Even when jacked up the falsing is not that bad. Something I have noticed is it will detect stuff at such great depth that all I get is a rise in threshold and no ID when in AM. Dug over a foot and no target. In the wet sand.

Cause, I swapped for this one. My wife while very understanding of my addiction, would throw a duckfit if I went out and spent ?? 999.00 on another machine. I kinda have a pile of them now! Also with the release of the new one with the 12 coil I'm sure the 9.5 coil ones are $$ dropping fast. Even though mine is the newer crosshair coil (see pic)

I spoke to White's myself and I was told the only change was the coil period. No other changes

WHEN I STARTED HUNTING WITH THE BEACH HUNTER ID THERE WAS ALMOST NO ONE USING IT YET...I WAS THE FIRST GUY IN ALL OF NEW ENGLAND TO USE THE SUPER 12 ON A BEACH HUNTER TOO...

I work for White's and the electronics are still the same, the only difference is the larger coil.

$60.00 for the install/ plus shipping. The rest is coil and shipping(appox.est.) After trying Gobble-gobble's supertuning trick I'm gonna stick with the 9.5. Try it. Loads more depth. Enough to wear my shoulder out.

Sorry about that, but I could of sworn they told me the electronics was updated. Oh well but I still got a killer machine!!!
