Item received was not as expected, so it was returned to Ray(Ca)

Item I recieved From Ray(Ca) was a Tesoro 8 1/2" coil for my 5.75 widescan coil. I told him, I wanted a coil to detect deeper than mine, and he said he had one that would. but when received it, I did an air test at home, it did not signal deeper than mine! So I sent it back. It cost me the same amount of shipping cost to return. Who is wrong here? I'm not a Fool! I am very dissapointed in the way this transaction ended up. Sometimes in the moment of despiration, people will do strange things to get what they want!

Some coils go alot deeper than they airtest. On my minelab I have two coils that air test about the same , but one goes about two inches deeper in the ground.

I have dealt with Ray(CA), I find it hard to believe that he did not believe his coil was deeper. The only way to really know would be to use it in the field. But I guess its easier to drag someones name through the mud than to get you facts straight.

I agree an airtest is just that. Coins that have been in the ground a while will sound off better than one thats been there a couple days.

If there was nothing wrong with the coil, it's not the seller's fault. A problem would be if the coil never arrived, or it was busted-up. I may have bought used things in the past, that may or may not have impressed me, but it I wouldn't dare blame it on the seller if he did nothing wrong.

:shrug:You got the coil, pluged it in, it worked, done deal!!! Not his fault if you think that it's not as deep, your machine could be a tad off...

Your wrong about your decision. But that does not make either of you bad folks. If you had bought a new one could you have returned it.?Did you request a widescan 8"? There is a difference in depth based on ground minerals not air tests.

enough said !!

I can't believe all this bull! Ray(Ca) was the first to post and drag my name in the mud. he did not have to do that just because he could not get what he wanted! To me, the the offer was not fair,so I returned it to him. We both payed the same money for shiping, no one lost anything but $10.00 on both sides. That's it! At least from this I know now who my friends are! And on top of this all of you are just false witnesses! Don't put your noses where it don't belong if you can't be fair in your posts!

I've known Ray for many many years. He's about as fair and stand up as they come. Period.

He sent you a coil, you happened not to like it (due to failing to test it correctly).

Do you honestly think Ray should pay shipping for you to play with the coil? It's bad enough you backed out of the deal, You atleast owe shipping.

Hey Ralphie

The coil I sent you was brand new and I even sent it to you first. So how much deeper do you think a 8 inch coil is over a 5.75? Not much! The people on this forum are honest people and I trust most of them. You come in here and pull some funky deal and you try and make me look like the bad guy! All I asked was that you cover my shipping and you couldn't even do that. Go away Ralphie with your you send it to you first scam.

Here's the e-mail (coinzappa) sent me and my response.

From Coinzappa

Hi Ray, I"m sorry if I made your expectations sore a bit, but I'm gonna have to change my mind about trading. I just did an air test and the results were shocking! Your coil did not respond as expected. Not deeper than my 5.75. I get a good solid four extra inches on my coil and right before the cutoff point, it is solid hits. Yours, I only get maybe 5 inches on a quarter with breakup. I thought it would have been better but it was not. I am very disapointed! I will be returning your coil in your box and I will leave a money order in the package for your shipping cost. I'll just have to order from Tesoro myself. Thanks anyway for the etempt.

CoinZapper

I received the coil today Thanks! I did not see a money order in the box. I figured you may have forgot to put it in the box.

Ray

No I did not foget! But I did realize after that, I also had to pay shipping, so we are even!
