It was one of those week-ends that you say,

"Well I had fun MD'ing and the weather was nice." I went to MD an old house that didn't produce like I thought it would. Memorials were 6"+ in that black soil. You can imagine were the wheat's were. My digger went into the soil like it was sponge cake. I went to many places MD'ing, well I walked up and down the street MD'ing hoping to hit the jack pot. I also took my daughter to the park for an hour.

The bloodroot was in bloom.

The Indians use it for war paint. It is also a good medicine. I broke open the root so you can see why they call it bloodroot.

I also found a 12 x 12 dug out place where they are laying block. I MD'ed the dirt, but all I saw was glass in the dirt. Must have been a dump for one of the glass factories here. I picked up a few pieces, but my father went and fill a jar up with that stuff.

Nice finds, you had a better weekend than I had. We actually had snow Saturday morning!!! That is quite a feat in Western Washington in April. Liked the glass and quite a few coins.
Good job!
Dana

That's a pretty good load of coins there!

Nice finds John. I love the looks of that old glass. The top pic reminds me of that John Denver song, Country Roads:thumbup:

That is a great religious medallion you got John. I also see one of those foreign Canadian coins in that heap too. I'm jealous.....we have over a foot of snow as of the last couple of days, and you are out taking pics of flowers. Global warming???? What's that

Below is a link to Saint John De Baptista in case you want more information:

Wow, you made me feel better. I was starting to complain about the heat. I'm not trying to rub it in that we were having near 80 deg. temps. Really. I was thinking how nice it was MD'ing in the cooler weather. I have left the heat of Fl. behind. I like it cool.
Thanks for the info. I couldn't figure out which Baptiste was the one on the medallion.

This is my favorite country roads picture I took near where I live. It reminds me of a water color.
