It was just an awful day after hearing of Wayne's death,,,

He was really a nice, nice man with a big heart. You could never pay for a meal if he had any say to it. I guess I'm still in shock. My heart goes out to his family, Teri and his 3 children. What an awful loss.

I think we will try to set up a trust fund for the family. Any of you dealers who want to help out I think we will set up some kind of auction and give the proceeds to a fund set up for the kids. The rest of you will be given an address to send anything you want to give to. I've already talked to a couple of the dealers who knew Wayne personally and we do feel we want to do this. This guy always donated things and loved detecting.

Email me or use the private messaging here and let's get together and try to figure something out. I've never tried to do anything like this before and could use some guidance.

Teri... We wish you and the children our best and grieve with you...

A great loss to the metal detecting hobby. Having roomed with Wayne at different events, you get the feeling of being family. Wayne loved to sit and BS for hour. I have not known Wayne as long as some, but he always had some witty comment.

Wanye will not soon be forgot for his contribution to the hobby.

I wish his wife Teri, and 3 children the best.

WE WILL MISS YOU MY FRIEND, I'm happy that I could call you a friend.

Wayne was not only a true friend, but having been my Distributor for many brands over the years, I feel fortunate to have called him my friend. He and his wife Teri have done so much for our hobby I feel lost this morning. To say he had a big heart would be shallow. Many of you who have won prizes at club hunts, Treasure Week, competition hunts and the like, can thank Wayne & Teri; they always helped out with donations. My wife and I send our sympathies to Teri and her children, Mike & Julie Scott and Geiger (Mike) and his family. He will be missed by all of us. God bless, David Keith

What a terrible loss. What a tragic event. We will see him again someday as he and family and friends are re-united. Until that day we are saddened.

Thank you for all of your support, prayers, and thoughts. I wish I could say more but I am at a loss right now.

I always enjoyed seeing you and Wayne at various detecting functions, most being at the annual Minelab seminars.

You guys were always there to help me if I needed a machine, or a part. I am simply empty when it comes to find the right words, I am so shocked.

No one can tell us why bad things happen to good people. Maybe some day we will all find out how this fit in the grand plan.

I do know this however, Wayne is in heaven looking down on all of you, loving you, and he will always be there protecting his family.

We will miss you Wayne.

God Bless you and your family Teri, if there is anything I can do, please don't hesitate to call on me.
