[attachment 63915 poisonring-july20072.jpg][attachment 63916 poisonring-july20073.jpg][attachment 63917 poisonring-july20074.jpg][attachment 63918 poisonring-july2007.jpg]sorry i forgot to post this ring i found at a site not too far from where i got the v and shield nickels last week ... it is from what used to be an old church site built in 1837 with a picnic grove beside it...it read as a scratchy quarter...scratchy because i discriminate out gold when i hunt parks ( 2 many pop tabs for me ) but it is a SILVER ring with GOLD inlay on the sides hence the scratchy signal. but it came out right at 11 inches so yea it was a deepie but it still looks great and the hinge still works perfectly.

I'll bet it was a snuff ring , i think they used to keep snuff in them or somthing else , for medicinal purposes only.( maybe)
