It Was A Wee Bit Chilly This Morning...

But I manages to dress warm enough to hunt one of our local middle school playgrounds. I dug a raft of sink pennies, several copper pennies, a few nickels, several dimes, a bunch of quarters, one really large coin that says 'One Penny' on one side and something 'Elizabeth' on the other. I also found a little 'Heart' ear ring, a house key, a Chinese necklace charm, and several junk keepers like zipper pulls/ snaps, etc. Now I need a hot soak for my aching muscles.

Thanks Betty. Actually a neighbor & I are heading out tomorrow morning to hunt a piece of private property. The owner lost a very special ring somewhere on the property and hasn't found it...so we're hoping to locate it for her.

Sorry but this is the best I can do. As you know, there isn't a slot for a memory stick in the Apple iPad, so I had to use the on- board camera.

It's dated 1965. It sure was a surprise when I saw it in the bottom of the hole. On my Minelab X-Terra 505, it I.D.ed at 42/48 and, needless to say, I was excited thinking I had a silver dollar. It's not of course but still a really nice find.
