It was a nice sunny day so we all walked down to the pond...

I took my 12 Ga. double barrel "scattergun" and had the girls throw up some Wilson volleyballs (Copperhead) for target practice.

Katie, who is 5, and quite adventurous, wanted to shoot the shotgun since she has shot the 22 rifle several times before. I told her she had to gain about 90 pounds before she could shoot the shotgun, and I showed her the difference in size between the little 22 shell and the big shotgun shell.

Here she gets to keep the still smoking shell, smells wonderful and makes a great whistle!
 
The middle daughter now lives in Fairbanks and goes Moose hunting by herself. She hasn't tagged one yet but keeps trying.
