It was a good week until...... Part 2 of 2

Thursday, Independence Day, Found me without any water to get into as all the spots were filled to capacity with contributors, bless their drunken heathen miscreant hearts!! So, I headed out to do some dirt digging at some soccer fields. Nothing really great, but I did find a little junk charm and a Kennedy half dollar so I came away happy with that. Here's the loot for a couple of hours of doing my Drunken Sailor gridding.

So, now comes Friday morning, the day after the big party at the lake, and I'm out there on the beach right after the sun comes up, ready to haul in the loot. Evidently, this bunch of drunken miscreant heathens took most of their jewelry off before beginning their revelry. What's up with that?? And to top it off, there were others that had the same idea I did. Here's a couple of the interlopers, swingin' their hideous "T" word detectors!! That's my ATP on the right.

There was also a husband and wife working the beach. By 9:00 am, all of them had given up as the finds were few, but ol' BCD keeps swingin' and scoopin'. This time, I had the ATP/5x8 coil/Grey Ghost 'phones rig and it was working pretty good!! Here's my total take for the day!! I also found a knife, but forgot to put it in the shot.

Not much, but the little pendant is GOLD!! Finally, some gold in my sifter. Tiny gold, but gold nonetheless!! It's marked 10K with soem tiny ice in it!! Sweet!! I scooped for a good half hour getting that little piece up. It kept falling off the end of my scoop. I chased it all over but was not to be detered!! I originally got a soft mid-tone signal, that was just barely audible in the Grey Ghosts, but I heard it!!

And the knife. Must be a cheapie, doesn't even have a makers name on it, but it's sharp!!

So, now here I sit, head full of painkillers, resting my Scoop Foot. Doc said to stay off of it all weekend and it should be good to go by Monday. Stupid foot!!

Congrats on the gold, BCD! That's a good looking pendant. Hope the doc is right and your hoof is on the mend by Monday so you can tidy up after the weekend revelers!

I bet you hurt your Plantar fasciitis.. I did it once and could not get out of bed the next day.
Literally couldn't get out of bed.. Had to have it operated on..
Look up Plantar exercises buddy! Take care of it..

Great work BCD! Your scoopfoot might be gout? especially if its in the big toe knuckle. I get a touch of it once in a while when its Hot, I get dehydrated, drink beer and eat bar-b-que, which pretty much sums up my daily regimine in the summer. Hope you get to feeling better!

Nice find on the gold, BCD. Always listen to BCM and maybe you'll stay out of trouble. Take care of that foot. Pain and I are long time companions. I was able to get in the water for about a hour and a half and had to wear my chest waders because I forgot my spare pair of shoes when I go in the water with just my clothes and my foot I was using all the time on my scoop started hurting and made me quit before I was ready. The drunks were present and yelling about all the stuff they lost and running their mouths and laying claim to anything I found. I just wander if they take all the trash I find out of the park's trash can and throw it back into the water to hassle me. I hope not. I haven't got the hang of the 5 X 8 coil on my AT/Pro and think I will put the 8.5 X 11 inch coil back on except for tight spots.

Excellent find on the "V"!! It's like I told you the other day, your detector will find anything any other detector will. It's all about getting to know what it's telling you and the willingness to dig, dig, dig!! Keep up the good work!!

Sorry I didn't respond to your previous post but I do appreciate you taking the time to try and help!! I had already been to the ER and had X-rays and the doc couldn't find anything wrong in the area of the pain. (left side of left foot on the top). His official diagnosis was "Pain of unknown origin"...here's some pills!!
