It was a double Barber night for the 3D

I went to a house only a mile from me this evening. I only had 2 hrs to kill. I almost didn't go to this site ever again. I have found 2 IHs here in the past. I was on my way to another site when I yanked the car into this one's driveway as a last second decision. Glad I did.
1892, 1906 Barber dimes. 1890 IH penny. A wine cap? and an old button that has a girl dancing? on it. The only word I can make out on the back is Waterbury. I think I scrubbed lettering off of the front.
The button and the IH both came up as Zinc on my 3D. I also dug some newer pennies and a wheat.

WAY TO GO, Dave! I'm glad somebody had a productive hunt on Wednesday! I went back to my 100+yr. old park, and all I got was EVERY VARIATION of WINE/SODA
SCREWCAP, you could imagine. I even spent a solid 15 mins. digging a coin/zinc/relic bouncer a solid 4" underneath a 3" wide OLD TREE ROOT. Here I thought I had a winner, either a IH Penny, or possibly BIG SILVER or OLD SILVER! What did I find?
A flattened out Pepsi Screwcap. MAJOR PAIN IN THE ASS! All day long, deep screwcaps 6&7 inches measured depth, some with solid coin icon from multiple directions. Total take for 3 1/2hrs., approx. 10-12 zinc/clad coins.
I know there has to be more SILVER/IH Pennies in this park. My hunting partner did not do any better, he uses my former Whites MXT, and I was using my CZ-70Pro. I guess somedays, the BEARS GETS YOU, and that was his day! Again CONGRATULATIONS on some GREAT FINDS! HH, NamVetLesTreasureSeeker

Nice finds! You're starting to pick up speed...

I had a hunt at a park like that. After digging a few screwcaps at 7-8", I figured out that they must've bulldozed the area. I ran screaming from there never to go back
You'll get'em the next time.
Good Luck,
Dave

appears to be a Virginia state seal civil war button. That one is on my list.Nice finds! Good hunting,..........Steve.

I'm sure you're right. Thanks for the link. This button is in such bad shape, I'd be afraid to try and clean it any more.
