Left work early, grabbed the Excal with what I though was 2 charged batteries and left my Quattro at home yesterday. Met up with a friend in the lane and started detecting.......suddenly the famous Excal death squeal from the battery....OK.....change it. Fifteen minutes later.....same story. I had not used the batteries in several weeks and thought they would have held the charge......how mistaken I was!!

I call hubby because we were to meet at another beach after he finished work........then drive back home(38 miles)with a bad case of the mumbles.

Pick up the Quattro and hubby and head off to another beach.......still mumbling. We start detecting and.........holly smolly gold and ice in my scoop!!.......it tests positive for a diamond!!
