FIRST of all and foremost,PRAISE THE LORD THAT I'M SITIN HERE IN PAIN TYPING THIS AND ADAM IS SITTIN AT HOME IN PAIN AND WITHOUT THE USE OF HIS LEFT ARM FOR MORE THAN A MONTH !!!!!! GOD IS GRRRRREAT  !!!!! :wiggle: OUCH !!! No more dancin' it really hurts LOL.
2ndly, THANK EACH and EVERYONE OF YOU for your prayers and kindness for my son.
Ok, the rest of the story.
Saturday afternoon Adam and i rode out east o' here to pick up his new motorcycle, a 2006 Victory Vegas Jackpot. Pretty nice scoot huh?

So as we're leavin the dealer it begins to rain, and the dealer is closin so we can't wait it out.Off we go chasin that weee little patch o' blue sky we can see waaaay over there. But of course, it aint happenin. RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN fer the next hour And my bike has never in it's 3 years beeen exposed to rain. :sadwalk: . We eventualy found blue sklies and dry roads AND a small town street festival where i got a chance to do a wee bit o' ministry :super:
After a hot dog and a quickie thru the local quarter car warsh we were off to the house to do some serious washin and waxin.
We rode 'bout 10 miles, dry roads  and when we came to a stop on a very familiar patch o' raod i says to Adam, "turn left her son coz i know that 'bout a mile away there will be muddy water runnin ;'cross this road". So, not wantin to got amy more dirties on our scoots we took the left and guess what, more water . Adam jist raod thru it and i went reeeeal slow thru it.When i caught back up with him he was about midway into a snake turn in the road (that i am very familiar with), as i was in the middle of it he was just exiting it and all of a sudden, his bike flipped and off thru the air and into the hillside he went.Well, like i said i have ridin this road a hunnert times
and as you can see in the pic, all i had to do was just kep ridin and pull over and park.Well, lemme tel ya, when yer watchin yer son's motorcycle go out from under him and flip over and see him sailin thru the air, there aint nothin goin thru you but PANIC !!!!!!! Instead of calmly pullin over i slammed the rear brake and dog'll tell ya, that's the cue fer yer scoot to hit the pavement and send you on yer way thru the air.
The skid mark is mine, as you can see , there really aint no "turns" in these curves. All i had to do was jist keep ridin. The reason the skid mark shows my bike goin towards Adam , He was down in that mud,is because, YER BIKE GOES WHERE YER LOOKIN!! and , of course, i was lookin at Adam.Where the skid mark begins to break up is where i left the bike and rolled and tumbled a ways down the road.I landed 'bout where the 2 policemen and Pastor Dan are standing.

Side note; i have been in crashes before where i knew death was inevitable and each and every time the only thing on my mind was talking with and making things right with GOD. Each and ever time He broght me thru it. This time, as i was tumbling across the pavement i never thought of Him. I remember calmly thinking to myself, "ok, when am i gonna hit my head and die?" This was bothering me very much 'till Janet and a frind from church said the very same thing to me."You did nothing wrong, you didn't forget your Lord and Saviour, you allready knew in your heart that you were with Him and He with you so you focused on keeping yourself alive for Him and for Adam", i TRUELY LOVE MY SAVIOUR, and i KNOW He loves me
Adam and i are healing, he had a disslocated shoulder and thru God's mercy and will he should fully recover and be ridin again by summers end.I am truely seeing this experience(so far)strengthening his relationship with his Saviour.
Please keep him in your prayers that he not lose focus on that.
As for the scoots.Yep, they're pretty mucked up, but Adams' dealer is gonna repair both for us and says, "yer bikes will be showroom new again when i'm done with 'em".
This was their trailer ride saturday from the scene.

And they git one more today to the dealers for repair.
Again, i can't thank each and everyone of you enough for your kindness and prayers.
Jim
Oh yeah, No, neither one of us wore helmets and neither one of us even got a scratch on our heads. PRAISE THE LORD !!!!!!!!

and I'm glad to hear things are turning out ok for you both. Your sons ride is pretty sweet too. Is it made by Bombardier(Sp?)?

Is that a Victory Vegas??nice bike-It really was a good thing you both flew -a bike landin on top of you is not a good thing...;OH;BY THE WAY:REGARDING THE HELMET ISSUE:I am NOT going to start a decades-old yes/no debate here;-HOWEVER-it is My humble opinion the Lord was REALLY ridin with you in that accident-goin down without a helmet-or ridin without one -to me;is unthinkable-I will tell you why-Back in 1972,I came off my bike head-first at 70 mph-Landed on my head in the road-it saved my life-I vowed I would NEVER ride without one again. Here in Michigan;a helmet is mandatory so I have no choice,anyway...Last year,I had to break that vow, because someone where I work thought it would be a good idea to steal the helmet off my bike...I had to ride home, near midnite,25 miles thru deer and critter country-without a helmet...If you want to ride without a helmet-your choice-When I get another bike,I will never ride without one...

yes, Vegas Jackpot.................and, allthough not in Pa. a law in this household now !!!!!

this is a patch on the back of my vest.See that little silver spot to the upper left of the patch ?
That is the stud from a pin.The stud and the pin keeper are still on my vest but the pin itself is gone. The pin was a small silver angle. Now my belt on my pants is completely ground away on the back of it, there isn't even a scratch on my vest ANYWHERE.With the angle bein broken off the stud there should be scratches on my vest ??? She was no where to be found following the accident. Was it she that was holdin my head off the pavement while my body rolled and tumbled down the road ???

I'm glad you're all OK or should I say alive! That's one scary story. This may be a stupid question from a city-boy ( and I don't mean to offend) but, why WOULDN'T you wear a helmet riding a bike?

everyone is OK! Prayers for healing!

None taken Joe, truth o' the matter is, i have been so weak for so many years from bein sick that most times i jist don't got the strength to handle it's weight.Even with a windshield the air gits to pushin on the helmet and my neck jist can't do it very long.Guess i jist gotta suck it up and try harder er figger sumpthin out huh?

injuries you will recover from. That bike is way more than I would ever want to sit my tailbone one. Never liked rain and riding myself.
Praying for you both to heal soon.
