Great day, sunny and above zero! It was a Go......My buddy and I headed to an old picnic site, hoping to find that elusive silver.

Here's yours truly :) And here's an old picnic table. This is all overgrown now.

A nice area indeed! Lots of moose and deer tracks, still snow on the ground and some moose poop!

After about an hours worth of time into the hunt, I got a bell tone ring, "C" size object at about 5 inches. So, I dug it, and out came a wallet. And some nice coins came with it too.

Here's what the wallet looked like cleaned up a bit.

And here are the coins that were in the wallet, including 3 coins.

Sweet finds.

Interesting to see that foreign coinage. A $1 Morgan dollar 1901 was found last Saturday on a club hunt in Calgary,

There are advantages to circulating Ameri-buck coins, they don't cost us anything to mint.

The dates of the coins in that wallet give you an idea of when that wallet was lost. 1950-60s??? Amazing how it still looks so nice.

I like the shovel,Sampson pro ball handle,i can't go without mine,do you have yours wrapped with electrical tape i do,i hit a power wire in the woods one day, figured it would be good to insulate for safety, alot of our electric lines are going in the ground here,i guess because we have bad storms, and hurricanes, nice find!,Chuck.
