The beach was a great place to hunt this morning....Found $101.00 cash blowing around on the beach just after sunup.Found a twenty first and stuffed it in my pocket, then as I continued detecting saw another one and thought I had dropped the first one.I then realized it was not the same one and started looking around for more...and there were, not all in one place but being blown around the beach by the wind...MDing is very rewarding!
Also found $3.49 in change, cell phone(the guys on his way to pick it up),14k pendent 1g,shell and wood bracelet,Disney coin stamp, and two out of state driver licences and credit cards that I turned in to the attendants hut in front of the resort that I found them......GL ALL

WoW you did really well. I bet that was a weird feeling seeing all that cash blowing around.

And just what does a $20 bill register on your digital readout???

Congrats on the finds!

Wow, won't take long to pay for the detector at that rate, congrats!---What coil was you using when you found those twentys blowing around on the beach?---That's the one I'd use ALL the time!

Back in '94 long before I started detecting I lived at the ocean for a winter. When I was walking up over the dune heading toward the water and I came across forty some dollars a pair of well worn Ray Ban sunglasses a shirt, a pack of about 3 cigarettes with matches and a business card for a taxi service. Where I lived was a deeded beach so it was kind of strange for an outsider to be there and none of this belonged to my 4 neighbors. Being that the business card was there that made things really strange. I looked up and down the shore and in the water and nobody was around. I was really concerned that maybe a tourist had come to the beach in a taxi, went in the water and got stuck in a rip current and drowned. As much as I wanted to just stick the money in my pocket and keep the sunglasses I thought this may be a clue to something pretty bad. It was very rare for someone to have a cell phone back there and there were no public phones nearby for anyone to call for a taxi.

The police station was right across the street from where I lived so I turned everything in a evidence. They said that if I wanted to claim any of the items that I would have to take out an ad the local paper in the lost and found and if it wasn't claimed in a month I could have everything. My concern was more about someone drowning than getting the stuff but the police didn't seem to care although they did write up a report. It was never claimed in the month's time and by that point I had moved back home so they mailed me the glasses and cash minus the shipping charges. When I got a good look at the glasses there were not worth keeping but I did get the little bit of cash.

Kind of slightly off topic but it did bring back a memory.

Sounds like a beach I know and detect. I had this lot
