went hunting again at my spot tonight to see if i could pull anything else from the iron. Well i did and it wasnt how i expected to pull it from the iron. I got a good hit that was 18-43,44 reading but bounced some. So it dug about 6 inches and found a rusted little tin box. Ok so heres the pic and what came out of that clump of rusted metal.

those are basically the settings im running all the time now. just little adjustments here and there depending on how i feel.

rb, a fun find. It's neat when you dig something that may have actually been hidden away on purpose. Question though, why do you have "deep" set to off?

i found by hunting that it seems to handle massive amounts of iron better with it set to off. If im hunting a place that is not very trashy and has old deep targets i will turn it on.
this site has deep targets but there is so much iron down in the ground that deep on will make the false iron signals sound to good and i will dig more iron.
But thats my personal pref. in my hunting spots. You have to find what works for you. If my style helps you develop your style then great if not then thats ok also.

Oh almost forgot deep doesn't make the detector go any deeper. its just a filter to try and make deep targets sound better. You want to hear deeper targets then run up the sence and turn the gain up to 30.

I just sent you a post on another threasd, and then afterwards read this one where you answered on of my questions. I am going to go out now with deep off and see if that may make a difference. thanks.
