I found myself walking out the door this morning with my detector in hand and it was 4 degrees and it felt like -14 with the wind. I am making progress on my latest site, I am picking up fired all over but the drops and buttons keep eluding me. I did get this brass piece, it is lead filled. Kinda was thinking rossette but never seen one that small. Any info on the markings would be great also.

Clock pendulum... There was a clock manufacturer named Jerome & Co.and that is what the letters are from.

Hey SgtLowe, nice find! You know it could have been a period rosette and not military. Either way it's a nice find. Tsgman

They were stamped brass and lead filled. I can't make out the letters very well but could it be "I & Co"? Most clock pendelums are made of pewter but I'm sure there are many styles I have never seen. The iron attachment loops point me towards tack decoration; i.e; harness rosette. Nice find, David
