Well, 40* in N E Ohio in dec is welcome anytime.. Tho abit cold, took the golden back down to the sport fields where it's been cleaning up all the clad drops of late.. One of the last targets of the day was a mid tone, pretty solid, but did crack on some passes from a different direction.. Figuring on a piece of aluminium, flipped the plug and there was a bracelet stareing back at me... WOW!! Talk about luck.. A quick search Couldn't find any karat markings on the clasp, so had to wait till I got home...Brought out the magnifier and am pretty sure its reading .575 on the locking arm of the clasp itself...Fired up the explorer just to see where it would read on the display and its smack in the region where gold should it...

So, whats .575.. 10k, 12k, 14k???? Am I reading the decimal number correctly??

Any help or thoughts..

Thanks for looking..Mark ( ohio )

did make it ruff to see... tho I'm still sure it reads .575... That's a strange karat % tho. don't you think??

Camera is on loan to my boy, and won't be home from college for 2 more weeks. Not really sure on how to post a pic..may I'll , take a snapshot of it and send to one of you guys to post for me..

Thanks for your help and kind words..

Cheers..Mark (ohio )

Nice find,

After much testing with my Tesoros I have decided that if I get a good clean signal from 2 directions then I am digging. That is a pass from left to right should be good both ways. If I move 90 deg and it starts to crack I will usually still dig. Rings on their sides will do this. I find alot of tabs. Nice to find gold.

Congrats on the gold Mark,

Yeah guys I love the Umax ( Cutlass and Stingray) when it comes to chains. nothing else I have played with hits on linked/rope gold and silver like my Tesoros'.

Nice way to end the season,
