I purchased my MXT PRO back in November with my buddy Lostpoint. We had alot of trouble in the begining with the DD coils. We switched to a 9.5 and 5.3 and it started getting better and better.I had my best hunt this weekend with a silver ring and a standing Liberty.here are some of my best finds since November.

Nice finds. It will keep getting better. My MXT is so much fun, when I am planning to go to a good spot the next day, I sometimes can't sleep that night. HH John

Very nice Tex. Looks like you're dialed into your MXT.

Thanks for the post.

Great finds Texas37 ! I love the SLQ. I remember the thread where you two were questioning whether to keep your MXT pro's. It's great you guys stuck with it and stepped back from the edge of the cliff. I was the opposite from you. I was having trouble learning my MXT with the stock 950 concentric but as soon as I picked up the 6x10 DD it all came together. Now that I have more experience, I've given the concentrics some more work and I am starting to LOVE the 5.3. (and the 950) Whatever gets you there. Glad you're staying in the family, good luck and keep posting your finds.

nice!

stick with what is best for you, the 9.5 is a great coil, I guess the 5.3 must be the same

Yeah I'm so glad I didn't get rid of mine. I wish Lostpoint would have taken a pic when I found the standing liberty, it would have been priceless (lol). I still can't sleep,we have an old homestead to go to this weekend so hopefully more pics.

once I was almost doing the same mistake of getting rid of mine too, by the way it is underated is normal, glad I didn't

TX,

Great finds and good job sticking with it. I like to experiment around with all my coils but I really really like that 5.3 coil too. STAY WITH IT cause whatever you're doing . . . its working !! I wouldnt change a thing at this point. CCH

Great finds! The more you use your machine, the better it will get. Congrats!

Oh WOW! What great finds and specially when I read about your 9.5 and 5.3 coils. Those two are my favorite coils. You have great finds for sure. Practice practice practice. You'll get 100% out of your MXT the more you practice and you won't regret it one bit. Great detecting and thanks for sharing. HH, Nancy
