Went to a ball field that has been hunted before for 2 hrs. 4 quarters, 4 dimes, 1 nickel, and 3 pennies. Using the x-5 coil and some of the coins were at 7". Looks like it is set up ok know. Going to some old places tomorrow, we will see. Thanks all
 
Wouldn't advise the average guy or gal to get out of quickstart so quickly but it appears you are doing well especially with a small coil. Seems like some pick right up on it while others really struggle with a long learning period. If your hearing tones and targets well and above all leaving small plugs you are on your way. Funny thing about an Explorer it excells for many set up in different ways and again whatever works...
