I headed out yesterday morning with the intent of hunting a spot that has given me some pretty good finds in previous years. It's been 3-4 years since I've hit this spot, so I figured it should be good for a goodie or two.

But after a stroll around and taking a few pics, I see a sign that sez: "Due to various pollution levels, human contact is not advised". What the heck?? No way I'm getting in there till a good rain comes and cleans it out. So, I decide to do a little hiking and shoot a few more pics.

Here's a pooch that didn't seem to care!!!

And this is an ugly little baby bluejay. Mama Bluejay was not happy with me being in proximity of the fledgling, lotsa diving and squawking!!

This morning, I decided to do a little dirt digging with the AT Pro with the 5 x 8 DD coil and Grey Ghost 'phones over at the pool in the park since the lake beach is closed yesterday and today for a triathalon. I didn't expect to find much since there are a few geezers around that hit that park for clad on a regular basis. I guess they've been slacking off!! Here's the total take for the day.

The butterfly earring is made of brass or some such, no value there, but it cleaned up pretty, so I decided to get a closeup.

Well, that's been my weekend so far and I don't anticipate doing anything more. The temp outside is rising and the humidity...you can cut it with a knife it's so thick!!

Say BCD...that triathalon spot might be pretty good tomorrow.. dont let some pollution sign worry you any..Garrett built the AtPro's to handle that kind of stuff, and at your age, you should be immune to it anyway!.

Yep, I'll probably be in the lake early AM tomorrow, but those guys and gals don't wear anything that will slow them down, even a thing like a ring!! Are your saying I'M the old one?? Better check your birth certificate. I heard you witnessed the invention of FIRE!!

Yes, nice photos!
I just may have to start carrying my camera with me
too in case the hunting gets slow...

Nice finds also!! Good job Cat!

Nice haul, BCD! I like that pin, too. I always enjoy finding jewelry.
