It is sad seeing this Forum die a slow death..............

With each passing day, it appears to be less stories being posted, even less lurkers than in the past. It sorta reminds me of a stock tank that offered good some good catfish fishing, slowly drying up over the years until folks quit going there to fish. Sad! Kelley (Texas) :(

More posts than we have had in a while.

Seems that those of us who are a tiny bit;) past middle age don't do change too well.
It takes a certain mind set to write a full story and i for one have not been there for a quite some time. The trials of life seem to get in the way.

I can't seem to figure out what type of stories folks want to read...thus what to post that would be interesting to them. Kelley (Texas)

my biggest problem is that I find it discouraging when I and others put forth the effort to share a story there will be 30 reads and only the regulars will post. Most of the lurkers are just selfish people in my view and it makes me just say to hell with it. At least when it happens to mine I have the option of just deleting the thing. I have used that option plenty of times :D

Heck, I have gotten more response on the Views forum than here a number of times. If nobody cares, why do it? Maybe it is just me but I don't think so. I will come visit as long as anyone else does as I have friends here but if it were up to me it would be a private forum for just friends. Friends have respect for others efforts. Pizz on the lurkers that are just users:shrug:

I have never read a story written on this forum that was not interesting. They are all about things that I have never done and frankly, will never do without sharing the experience through others storys.

But the postings are still good.

This forum has too many good people on it to just go away.

Calm seas

I checked back over the years and it seems that the number of posts ebb and flow much like the tide.

These things must run in cycles and we are in a slump perhaps?

I know that the older I get, the less free time I have to engage in the things I really enjoy!

Living in a "seasonal" community can get hectic for me, because we can get swamped with family and friends that rarely visit at other times of year!

Here's hoping for a brighter future.

Best to you all,

CJ
