issue with AT-PRO yesterday

Hello Just wanted too see if anyone else has had this issue with the AT-PRO? I will try too explain it the best way i can lol Well i started out OK swinging as usual my settings are as fallows>> in Pro mode /custom,sensitivity 1 bar from max, iron audio/disc at 40, i disced out everything from 0>>>50 and ground balanced at around 83-84. Now these are the settings i use all the time at the site and never had a issue. Then all of a sudden out of the blue it became erratic jumpy and hitting 99 really funny now i understand this detector well i have found many nice targets and coin's ect and but when i would get a good target signal it would change too other numbers ect weird i know .so i ground balanced Again and now it reads 73 hmmm weird i know these hunting areas and there a constant 83-84 on ground balance so i have a feeling something isn't right :( and the only thing that is different is it was wet and raining theres no apparent moisture in the face plate so I'm wondering if the coil has a leak!! I like too know if anyone else has had this issue? thanks SAS

Hi,, I really need more information to tell you exactly what's going on...But so far it looks like you are hitting big iron etc. which would indicate a normal AT Pro operation....Also trash by good targets or just plain bad targets can cause the symptoms you are describing....Best of luck....JJ

wet ground will have a different ground balance number.just look at the post that people go from wet sand to dry sand.

I just had troubles with both of my coils, my 11 inch had a bad wire, static all the time falsing etc my 4 inch had a leak , vid was jumping everywhere one way to check is when it starts hold the coil in the air if its still jumping bad then you have a issue. just dont point it at a power line LOL

Hi, disregard the above reply I'm not a morning person and answered wrong sorry..:goodnight:..It's not abnormal to get ground balance readings from the 60's to the 90's...But you could have a loose coil connection or a possible bad coil....JJ

Thank you everyone for your responses im going too take it out agane and test it if water did get in the coil then it should still be there. I will let you all know

Ive had that same issue before meltdown with the water inside........your case could be TOTALLY different , but your idea to try it again is your best bet. Good luck
