I have wanted to find one of the Elizabeth 1953 Coronation medallions for a couple of years now. And Of course I found two within a month. This hobby can be so amusingly ironic at times.
I poped a pic of the second medallion (that I found today) and the very first coronation medallion that I've ever found. A 1911 George fifth and queen Mary. It was found with my old ACE 250 in a field were an old North West Mounted Police depot once stood. I found that medallion doubly facinating because someone used it for target practice and nailed it with a pistol shot. Now I have to find a George sixth coronation medallion. He was the stutterer in the movie ''The Kings speach'' and he died of lung cancer I believe.....B.T.W., I got tired of that stinkfoot avatar and switched to my longest used name.
