Isn't this a fun hobby?:twodetecting::garrett:

Spent the last couple of days hunting on a demoed housing site with my hunting buddy, Chris. I like hunting with Chris as he goes after the big feeling targets and ultimately helps the growth of my toy car collection.:) On this mornings hunt I didn't get my coil over a silver coin, Chris did, but I did manage a nice sterling ring and a sterling Captain's bars.

Yesterday morning was a 3 silver hunt for me, a Washington quarter and 2 Roosevelt dimes. The previous morning I managed to recover a 43 Merc. from an old fairgrounds.

It is always fun when you and your detector can out wit the TRASH MASKING SPIRITS and I did that twice yesterday. My 2nd silver yesterday morning was barely a mid 80's reading that turned out to be the 52 Washington quarter. I was kind of wondering about the reading so after pocketing the quarter re-swept the hole and got another hit. About an inch deeper then the quarter I recovered the knob for a car window crank and out of the hole it read 80. Which, was probably the reason for the lower silver quarter reading. In the dirt of my 2nd silver dime recovery I also discover about a inch long piece of a rusty nail. I recall that the tones on the dime hit were a bit scratchy, but read 81-82. A little low for a silver dime with little wear.

Anyway, this sure is a fun and interesting hobby. HH jim tn
