Here's the latest on beach impact from hurricane Isaac at this time. Be safe ye pirates,
"The winds will drive ocean water directly onto the beaches of the Florida Keys and those along the southeastern coast (including Miami Beach) later Sunday into Sunday night. Coastal flooding and beach erosion is a serious concern with a storm surge of 1 to 3 feet expected.
Such a danger will not develop along Florida's southwestern coast until Monday. Before that time, winds will actually blow away from these beaches and keep water levels relatively lower.
"As Isaac moves up over the eastern Gulf, a return flow from the west and southwest in the wake of the storm can bring a storm surge along the Florida west coast," stated AccuWeather.com Expert Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski."
