Is this information true for the Tracker IV?

The above URL is from the BH site and makes claims about the Tracker IV machine. When I read the Tracker IV manual, the information contained therein is completely different from the above mentioned claims.

What's going on here???????????

Yea what's on the site is not right. It says that it has a touch pad which it doesn't. But don't let anything fool you that TrackerIV is a mean machine, it's not the deepest machine, but will find coins. I have one and like it very much. So much so that I am going to sell the 505 and keep the TrackerIV. LOL just read the manual and learn it. good luck.

The info on the right side is correct but it does looks like they inserted the 505 points in the highlight bullets.
1. There is NO touchpad (there is on the 505) the T-IV has only sens & Disc knobs & a toggle for Disc & notch modes.
2. There is no 5 segment digital ID (again the 505 does) just an analog meter & 3 pitch tone.
3. Auto -Notch is not found on the T-IV it IS on the 505.
4. There are only 2 modes on the T-IV - Disc & Notch (the 505 has 3 modes - No Motion All Metal, Disc, & Notch Unless you count Auto Notch as a 4th)
The T-IV IS a good machine!! I used one for several years & Just upgraded to the Pioneer 505 to get a bit deeper & a better ID system. One thing I found helps with the T-IV was I would switch back & forth with the toggle to clarify my targets better as all coins sound about the same on the T-IV & The analog signal meter was no use to me at all. The 505 has some advantage in that it seperates Zinc from Copper pennies & while the coin ID isn't always right (I have dug pennies that it said was a quarter) it does a pretty good job overall. The depth indicator is a plus but does indicate targets are a bit deeper than actual. The 505 has more tone variation & Auto Notch is a blessing in parks with a lot of pulltabs..
I use my 505 more than the T-IV now but I will be keeping my T-IV as it is a great machine with simple operation. You just need to "tune your ears" so Headphones are important.. DOC
