IS THIS DETECTOR MAGIC OR SOMETHING??

After using this AT-Pro detector for a couple of weeks I have made some unreal finds and I am not talking about valuable targets. I mean that I am finding nickels and quarters under pull tabs and next to iron screws and nails and I assure u this will not happen with your Fisher CZ"S or Tesoro's. Not consistently anyway. I have been using a Tesoro DeLeon for a couple of years and always told my Ole' hunting partner Salty Tom that I want a detector with better target separation. Well the AT-Pro is it apparently. 82-87We hunted a small park in Independence Louisiana yesterday and I went over his area and pulled quarters out of the ground! I know the DeLeon will do that but when there was some trash around, his machine told him it was a pull tab and mine let me know that the tab was there but clued me in on the quarter beside it. I am amazed at this detector. This has got to be the best detector that I have ever owned. It screams on pennies 80-81 and when I hit a quarter 82-87 it blows my Jimmy Sierra Maxi-phones II away. By the way these are the most comfortable and clear headphones out there. I can't wait to hit a silver target. I might have to wear hearing protection!!. Thank You Garrett.

Now get yourself a Super Sniper and see how close in that thing will get to fences and metal poles. Spent part of Sunday in a hard hunted park getting the tough finds no one else had been able to hit up against chain link fence and metal poles and play ground equipment.

Depends on conditions but I was working against a chain link fence with four bars turned on. I could run within 2" before it talked to me.

Word of warning....wear earplugs for when you hit a silver ring.

UNREAL! 2 inches!! gotta get me one.

with the 4" sniper coil in a tot lot, you do not need much depth, because most have a weed liner between 4-6" deep that you do NOT want to cut through....
Thw easiest way to get your hunting spot removed from you is to have the maintenance guys replace the chips or gravel and find holes in the liner...
you can get by with 3 or 4 bars of sensitivity in these conditions...out in the grass with the 4" coil....crank it up as long as it is still stable...

HH,

I had a good signal the other day in a tot lot. Too bad it was UNDER the liner......argh....was 95 on VDI too.....bet it was a silver quarter to boot.

I bet it was a soda can dropped and burried when they made the tot lot...???

HH,

Don't think so the signal faded at 2-3" above the ground level.

hmmm...I have had some like that also...been very tempted to break the liner, but I do not want to be the one to get blamed if they find a torn liner...
