Hello all....i found this today...wow I wish I could ID this though....any of u ever seen one any ideas what this is ???? I cant find anything in google.

Excavated "Jeff Davis" or "Hardee" hat plate recovered about 30 years ago by Dr. Rees Buttram. The stamped brass hat pin was recovered at Chickamauga, GA. and was missing the arrows and wreath at the base when recovered. This has been expertly restored by the master "Robert" and displays like a million bucks. A great buy on a very rare piece to recover anymore.--$65.SOLD
 
Looks like you found an early 1900s federal amunitions pin, thus the word federal with the A under it. Look up federal ammo. Wayne in delaware HH
