is this a good detector

Hi I am going to buy my first detector monday and just wanted to know if you think that the F2 is a good detector? i live in Boca Raton, Florida and want to use it in the surf and sand, will this do the trick, or any other reccommendations in the 250-350 price range

Single frequency land detectors don't work well in salt water. The other thing is if you get it wet, you'll end up with a heavy paperweight!!!

Do yourself a favor, save up to buy a decent dedicated water machine!!!

The F2 is a great land machine but not good for the beach.
