Is this a good metal detector for a beginner and a first one?
 
i got a BH VLF used for 10 and it works just fine. I havent really field tested it yet though. look around at flea markets, pawn shops, yard sales etc. and ask around people usually buy a MD and never really use them so they sell them cheap. just my opinion.
 
YES snap it up if you can, the units are a lot better than people give credit for. Great to learn on and I still have 2 and will continue to use them until they die. You will not be disappointed in the purchase. HH regards Nugget.:detecting:
