Is this a good deal?

Guys and gals,

A local pawn shop has a Bounty Hunter Lone Star, with carry case and headphones for $119.
I have seen prices above and below this price for just the unit......no case or headphones.
The unit is used but is in excellent condition - or so they say.
The pawn shop owner is a reputable business man and stands behind what he sells.

So.........good deal or should I pass on it? :help:

Thanks for the input!!

I dont know...do you really NEED it? I bet you could get it for 75 or less out of him since he only gave maybe 40 tops...I'd check it out to see if it works ad look real good at the battery compartment for visual signs of corrosion...maybe look real close at the coil wire for signs of cracks in the insulation, etc...be careful or you will wind up with 20 detectors because you could not pass up a good deal!...Theres gonna be some great deals here on the Forums For Sale site and on Craigslist especially after Christmas...folks need to pay bills, and sometimes you can get a very expensive detector cheap...Good Luck!

im with mudpuppy offer him $75 most will negotiate i got a $500+ tesoro lobo for $150 from pawn shop Also watch craigslist I always see bounty hunters for sale here in AZ for cheap

Generally pawn shops look for what rhey loaned om the item plus 2 months intrest on the loan that would be about 60 bucks so im with the others id offer 60 and work from there gl

@ MUD - No sir, I don't "NEED" it......but I "WANTED" it; if it was a good deal.

I'm kinda looking for an upgrade in units. I know I've only been using my Tracker IV for about a month, but I can tell from reading this forum there are much better units out there. Thus far, in my VERY limited experience, I have found no reason to switch manufacturers. I like my Tracker IV so I plan on staying loyal to the Bounty Hunter brand.

@ Deliveryboy and Postal Two - I am in agreement with you.....haggle, haggle haggle on the price with the pawn shop......IF I go that route.

I checkED Craig's List for Houston and did not see a Lone Star for sale at what I figured to be a good price. Gonna check the for sale forum here and on a few other sites.

THANKS FOR THE INPUT GUYS! HH
