Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. it rings up as an 11-47 on my CTX. Found it on my land in Northern Wisconsin. It seems to be hand forged.
Thanks,
Les

Really nice find, Les. Have you ever found any Indian artifacts in that area. I'm pretty sure copper was used in ancient times, in Wisconsin.

First copper culture artifact, but found some other cool stuff there too. 3 indian head pennies, and an old wisconsin seal button. Tons of old headstamps. Nothing Indian related. I have a creek running through our land(40 acres) so i'll probably hit all along that soon.
Thanks for looking,
Les

Copper culture artifacts

It certainly bears a strong resemblance to copper culture knives.

And old saying goes, you find gold where you find gold. It looks like you have found a copper culture knife where you might expect to find one.

Great find!
