Is this a civil war coat?

Hi! Didn't know where to post this but perhaps some fellow members with experience know if this is a period civil war coat or perhaps just a so called "humped up" coat. Thank you in advance :)

I think you would need to see it in person to tell for sure and maybe even then you can't bee 100% sure. There were similar coats made for the GAR reunions. A close exam of the buttons would also help.
 
Thank you! I figured that certainly there were many collectors out there that viewed this auction and if in fact it was a "civil war" coat it would have fetched much more than that.
