Is there no numeric id in the all metal mode?

Or at least this is what I see with my T2. In the disc. mode it ID's at almost max detectable distance. In all metal, it detects deeper than the disc mode but actually doesn't ID as deep in all metal as in disc.

I too noted the same and one other thing....that the depth ID in the AM is better than that in disc especially on targets less than 4in deep. I have been using both modes in conjunction with one another. Set up in Disc first then set my AM and go from there. I can turn of audio in AM and easily enough watch the VDI's roll across the screen, when I see what I am looking for, I can easily switch to Disc and validate the target with audio on. Sounds crazy but it sure does wonders for the ears. I also use my AM as my prime depth indicator for the reasons I stated above. Seems like one mode compliments/augments the other with this unit. Would like y'all to check something else out. May be just me, but I believe while in the AM mode the TID numerics stay up slightly longer than they do in Disc. Would appreciate some of you others validating that. Like I said... it may just be me, but it sure does seem that way.
