Is there any difference in depth between the ID Edge and the ID Excell Thanks :clapping:

The reason I ask in your area, I don't have much mineralization down here in Louisiana but the sulpher and salt salinty in the soil is bad down here and the copper stuff is crap. The ID Excell works real good and I like it but no damn 5" coil. Brass seems to do OK with the buttons I have found. Anyway just wondering. I hooked up the Sunray probe to the ID Excell as I was going to use it as a pinpointer and it worked great. Anyway just some thoughts about the EDGE. Thanks again Bill. Jerry aka Tinfoil

I have seen at least a couple more inches in depth (but I wasn't really measuring or anything). Maybe more, but it would take some real hardcore side by side testing to be sure. Again, this is just MY AREA. Could be more or less in certain states. The Excel is a nice unit @ a great price, but to me the Edge kind of took the best features of the first 2 digitals, the C$ & EXcel & rolled them into one (The EDge). It has near C$ power, notches, & the lightweight box the Excel's known for. I know several folks that have sold or traded in Excels or C$'s to get the Edge & have not been disappointed.
I'm not a gold jewelery hunter at all & can't really say how good the Edge is there exactly. But, I HAVE seen good results on similar conductors that I run across, like small pewter buttons & tiny cuff buttons, so it should do well on gold too.......
HH,
Bill
