Is there an online manual for the Omega?

I just uploaded the Omega manual on a free file sharing site.
Here is the link:

Omega Manual

Let me know if it does not work, I'll upload it somewhere else.

BTW, first time I post around here, nice to meet you.

I see this isn't the final version so I REALLY appreciate you sharing what you have. I realize you didn't have to do that and others likely wouldn't.

Jorge, great to see you on the forum. Hope to see more posts from you!

I have your F5 and I'm really impressed with it.

But I'm not impressed with the manual, which is full of errors. Ground balancing with the F5 is incredibly simple, but not if you follow the instructions in the manual which are just plain wrong. If you are in contact with the person who wrote the manual, a good swift kick in the rear is in order.

Seriously though, kudos to you on an excellent detector. Sensitivity, separation, depth and the interface are all first rate.

There's more of a learning curve than I expected, but as I use it more I feel like I'm really getting a feel for it and making some great finds.

If the Omega is an improved version of the F5 as I've heard, than it will be an awesome machine!

Hi Jorge,

First thanks for taking the time to post the manual, much appreciated.

I do have a question on the ID numbers for screw caps. They are listed in your chart as reading below zinc but, around here alum s-caps (flat and intact) read between zinc and copper penny. This leads to a question about where the older wheats will read as well. Are they gonna be below zinc also instead of in the range between zinc and copper/silver where we are used to??

Heck maybe my alum s-caps are different??

Also, the old and new style pulltabs ID numbers are inverted from their true phase number?? Its the new square tabs that read at the upper edge of nickel!!! Was this intentional or is this a chart error?

Dave stated in another post that the Omega should suit us older "analog" guys well, but this kinda flies in the face of that.

Confused in MI

Dave's statement was that old timers will like the analog feel of the Omega.

Re-ordering of TID values from the actual phase relationship may suit some people... But I personally dislike it.

JMHO

Tom, I don't know if this is the answer or not, but around here I've seen screw caps come in on both sides of zinc. Flattened ones tend to be higher but I've seen that go both ways too. On the tabs, I've seen the old style and the newer ones come in on both sides of each other also. So I'm thinking given that, they just decided to pick one of the two ascending phase possibilities with these types of targets.

and that I am jumping the gun based on my dislike for that type of foolery. They did push up the nickel in one of the modes and that is what probably started me off on my rant.
