is there an aluminum or stainless steel arm cuff with a better stand out there for the xterra

I used a heat gun on the stand fins and bent them out about 1" on each side. Stands much better now. HH, Mike
Since it is a pretty standard rod diameter, armcups from most any other brand would work. Just find one you like and improvise. I know the metal armcups from a Whites detector will fit. Just drill a hole in the rod for the bolt, and put on the White's cup. As for the stand portion, there are a lot of after-market stands that will fit just fine. A quick check of ebay (or searching the FM classifieds) will provide you several options for modifying most any detector. JMHO HH Randy
