Is there a way to set the xlt back to facory settings

Hi hope everyone has good finds this weekend.
Is there any way to set the xlt back to factory setting by using any hot key or anything. I am not good at trying to add new programs. So I know I would have trouble resetting everything. The detector was a freebie from a friend and he has tinkered with it a bit. I just want it back to factory settings.
Thanks

To kind of erase some memory turn detector on and while it is on remove battery for about 10 minutes.Other custom programs can be over written.Hope this helped some.

All of the Preset programs are "read-only".

When you want to make changes to the preset programs the unit will create a temporary copy of the preset program for you to edit. - To make those changes permanent you would save the temporary copy of the preset program you edited in one of the custom program slots. The original factory preset stays in tact.

If you edited a temp copy of the preset and did not save it - you can remove the battery as ohio fred stated - which will remove "temp copy" of the preset program. Now if you turn the detector off or the battery dies and you did not save your changes to a custom program - Simply turn on the detector and ground balance the unit which will remove the temp copy of the preset.

If you turn the detector off or the battery dies and you forgot to save your changes - Simply turn the detector on and pull the trigger BEFORE you ground balance and it will reload the changes that you made to the temp copy of the preset. - from there you can save the temp copy to one of the custom programs slots.

If the changes were saved in one of the custom program slots, removing the battery will not restore the factory default settings. Also, if the changes were saved you'll need to refer to the back of the owners manual for each custom programs factory defaults. As you scroll through the each setting you'll have to adjust each setting individually.

Thanks HH and Ohio Fred. I appreciate your time. HH the only problem I am having on entering a ring program is where you set the xlt to accept or reject, When I try to enter the numbers it automatically selects accept or reject depending on the numbers I am scrolling through. Any ideas?
Thanks guys

Hi Stillsearching68...You will often see folks sign with the "HH"...It is noones name, but is shorthand for "Happy Hunting"...

HH,

The factory preset programs always revert back to factory settings, unless you have saved changes in your Custom programs.no changes will be made in the machine. an old saved custom program can only be erased when you save a new program....You can install 4 of the same settings as preset in the custom programs if you want. Look on page 50 of the manual for the settings.. I can't remember if you can zero them out or not..in custom..Though I don't think you can. Pretty sure you would have to reload something new..

Yes you use the enter button on number you want to except or reject push enter and arrow will move to reject or except leave it on the one you want.
