Is there a waterproof adapter for the Stingray 2/ Tiger??

That you can use other sized Tesoro coils in the water?? If so are all of them waterproof??

I have seen the connector but its not waterproof. Although i dont think it would be that hard to make it waterproof i dont know if i would risk it.

I do believe that If I could only have ONE Tesoro it would be the Stingray 2.

There is an adapter cable available from Tesoro, that will allow you to use any of the other uMax coils on the Tiger. The mating connector of course is not waterproof so its intention was to allow you to hunt with other coils on land. The Tiger is a great land machine too.

Back in the day before waterproof machines, we used to "seal" connectors all the time with a clear tube, plugs, clamps and silicon grease. Not sure if those unions are still around or not but they used to work very well. We would have to use extension cables on the coils to make the cable long enough to float the control box or chest mount it. Some guys even mounted control boxes on hard hats, and one guy I remember had a goofy pole assembly mounted on his shoulders that held the control box above his head! It was a funny site. Those were the days.

I wonder why Tesoro only offers concentric coils for the Tiger shark? You would think the a DD would be more stable in the salt over a consentric.

concentric coil discriminate better and IMO are easier to pin point with, both are important when you are up to your neck in water.

I've also been using a HH PI w/ 11 inch coil. I'm still getting the hang of it.
