is there a problem with Whites bullseye II?
I am thinking in buying one,
I have seen people selling their brand new bullseye II for about half the price of retail.

From my experience its not the deepest but does the job and yep the button does go on it and have know Whites to send a new one in return for the inoperative one...

These are what I run and they do have that switch act up....eventually. They do work very well so I just have two on hand to rotate out (w/Whites) as needed. Keep wanting to get a DX-1 or Pro Pointer...but I do like 'em and this is working for me...for now. (You can bet White's next generation of pointer will be better as the switch issue has to be wearing thin.)

It works fine when functioning, and Whites will replace them free when you have a problem. I got sick of sending them in because them I am out of a pinpointer while they are in process of replacing it. I didn't like that you have to hold the button down while using it, and that is probably why the switches keep going out. I went through 5 of them in 3 years and finally decided to go another route and sure glad I did.

I used a borrowed one for awhile then eventually moved up to a Propointer and finally a DX-1. Capable unit that will do the job decently & fit the budget but don't expect much depth. I didn't run into the switch problem but I only used it briefly until I got a great deal from Larry(IL) on the Garrett PP. I still have it and will hold onto it because it's a great little tool to have in certain instances. The Garrett Propointer is light years ahead of the bullseye PP and the DX-1 is from another galaxy IMHO. I'm a big fan of my Whites machines but the facts are the facts . . .

Their new pin pointers are crap. The ones at harbor freight for $15.00 have a sensitivity control and they last longer.

Put a good switch in em and you got something. I would not trade my XLT for anything, I love it.

You would think the same minds could make a decent pin pointer.

Not much depth with that Bullesye II. What Scott said about the Garrett PP and the DX-1 sums it up for me. He's right on the money !! I have both of them and wouldnt trade either . . . CCH
